Holly Lodge moves in to State of the Art Accommodation
Holly Lodge Girls’ College is looking forward to starting 2015 in the new state of the art £7 million building which the students have named Emmeline Pankhurst, marking the achievements and legacy of her work. They won’t, however, be turning their back on their proud heritage – they’ve occupied the current site for over 92 years and, during that time, have striven to educate and equip their students for a happy fulfilled life and are immensely proud of the successes their girls have gone on to achieve.
The new campus has been redesigned around a new main teaching block with large classrooms, dramatic spaces for arts, music and drama, a new Sixth Form facility and an exciting central atrium with communal space to meet, organise or just recharge in the café area. The new campus will benefit from their beautiful grounds but the layout has been rearranged to enable the delivery of a modern curriculum in a bright, fit for purpose environment. The new facilities will create a vibrant atmosphere where modern technologies and excellent teaching can inspire students to their full potential and they will be celebrating with a launch event in March to commemorate the achievements of Emmeline Pankhurst.
Would you like to win £100 for your Primary School? As part of their launch event they are having an Emmeline Pankhurst Art exhibition, which is open to students from year 4, 5 and 6. Details of how to enter are on their website at www.hollylodge.liverpool.sch.uk
