Become A Yorkshire Coast Explorer

During the Middle Jurassic, 165 million years ago the Yorkshire coast we know was a very different place. Large rivers the size of the Mississippi flowed over the area and on the banks of these rivers grew lots of lush vegetation (including horsetails, tree ferns, cycads and ginkgo trees). Alongside the fossils of these plants we find the footprints left behind by the creatures that ate the plants - the Dinosaurs.

Unleash your hidden dinosaur hunter this summer and join the team at Hidden Horizons for a fossil hunt, rock-pooling trip or dinosaur walk.
